DAY 1: FES → IFRANE → ZIZ VALLEY → MERZOUGA DESERT :
Start on our 3-day Fes to Marrakech Shared Desert Tour, starting in the morning from Fez. Our journey southward includes a stop in Ifrane and a visit to a cedar forest to observe Barbary apes. Lunch is served en route. Traverse the Ziz Valley before reaching Merzouga by afternoon. Experience a camel caravan through Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes, pausing for a mesmerizing sunset view. Arrive at our campsite where you’ll relax in a private tent before enjoying a delicious dinner and evening of drumming around a bonfire under the starlit sky.
DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT → TODRA CANYON → DADES VALLEY
Wake up early to witness the desert bathed in golden sunlight, a serene moment. After enjoying a tasty breakfast in the camp, we’ll depart for Merzouga by 4×4 vehicles, with your driver eagerly awaiting your arrival. Our journey leads us towards the Dades Gorges. On days like Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday, we’ll make a stop to visit a traditional Moroccan souk in Rissani, providing an authentic taste of local culture. Continuing our drive, we’ll pass through Tinghir, tracing the path of the Todra River until we reach the Todra Canyon. Take a leisurely stroll beneath the towering cliffs, which soar to heights of 300 meters. Upon reaching the Dades Gorges, we’ll pause at a site boasting unique rock formations known as “monkey fingers,” remnants of an ancient seabed. Marvel at the exceptional view of the zig-zag road before concluding our day at your beautiful hotel.
DAY 3: DADES GORGES → OUARZAZATE → AIT BEN HADDOU → MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we journey through the Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’gouna. We then make a brief stop in Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Studio, known as the world’s largest film studio. Adjacent to it lies the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famously featured in films such as The Mummy and Game of Thrones. Following our exploration, we proceed through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. By late afternoon, we arrive in Marrakech.
